Selena Gomez and Francia Raísa are twinning, not beefing.
The Only Murders in the Building star and the How I Met Your Father actress reunited for a night out in Los Angeles Aug. 11, weeks after the two squashed rumors of a feud. The two shared a photo of their footwear, almost matching leopard-print pumps, on their Instagram Stories, with Francia captioning her post, "No beef, just salsa." She added, "(This was not planned)."
The two dined at the Giorgio Baldi restaurant in Los Angeles and were joined by Selena's little sister Gracie Teefey and her former assistant Theresa Mingus and other friends. The "Come and Get It" singer wore a high-neck, long sleeve, black mini dress with a thigh-high slit, while Francia, who famously donated a kidney to the pop star amid her lupus battle in 2017, sported a plunging tan halter dress.
Rumors of a rift between the two longtime friends began last November when Selena told Rolling Stone, "I never fit in with a cool group of girls that were celebrities. My only friend in the industry really is Taylor [Swift]."
After the quote was shared in an E! News Instagram post, Francia allegedly wrote in a since-deleted comment that the quote was "interesting." Selena later commented in response to a TikTok that discussed the possible drama, "Sorry I didn't mention every person I know."
In late April, Francia dodged questions about an alleged feud with Selena while speaking with a celebrity photographer. The following month, she told the paparazzo that she has been receiving harassing messages from online users over the matter that were "pretty bad."
In July, Francia offered an update on her current relationship with Selena, telling a photographer, "There's no beef, guys." Around the same time, the singer shared a sweet birthday tribute to her friend, including photos of the two together and writing, "No matter where life takes us, I love you."
